Opening of the Osborne Lights

It’s the 20th anniversary of the show called “Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights” that happens in the backlot area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We had never seen them since we didn’t ever visit Disney during the holiday season. The parks are super busy for most of this time of year so we always opted for lighter crowd months. Disney had a soft opening for the lights on Sunday November 1st and we met up with some other Disneyscopers to check it out. I can see why they call it dancing lights! It’s really a show, not just a bunch of pretty lights. Everything is coordinated to the music and it is seriously impressive.

We also met Corrine of Disney Lifestylers, one of the most popular Disney Instagram accounts. She was so cool! She posts pictures and info for brand new Disney merchandise from all over the world. She was also sweet enough to post our picture and give our Instagram account a shout out to her HUGE number of followers which was so generous! (And caused me and Chloe to fangirl excitedly in the car on the way home.)

This is the last year for the show. Disney announced that they will be closing it in order to prepare for some incredible experiences coming to the park, including the recently announced Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land. So better hurry if you want to see them.
