BOO BASH – Disney After Hours Halloween Event

Disney After Hours BOO BASH is an all-new Halloween Party taking place at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World this Fall.

This special three-hour After Hours event will replace the long-running Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) for the 2021 season.

As we anticipate the potential return of MNSSHP in 2022, After Hours BOO BASH is a fair compromise as we continue to navigate the un-chartered (and choppy) COVID waters.

For those unfamiliar with Disney After Hours events, they are extremely popular with Disney fans and when offered, sell out quickly. They originally debuted in 2016 as a very limited capacity, separate ticketed event taking place three hours after park closing. Guests had access to select attractions, which automatically meant much shorter wait times to all of your favorite rides, exclusive shows, entertainment, character meets and unlimited select snacks throughout the park. BOO BASH will follow in these party footsteps.

Let’s dive in and get to all the details!

MY THOUGHTS ON BOO BASH

Honestly, it’s very difficult to criticize this years Halloween event replacement. With the ongoing pandemic, and forever changing environment, Disney had no choice but to create a different Halloween experience for 2021. It is the hope of all Disney fans that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (or something of the like) returns next year. But in the interim, this After Hours event is a solid replacement for the season. It sure beats not having anything, as was in 2020. The party vibe is different, and the full spirit of Halloween is a bit lacking in the way we are used to, but as the old saying goes, it is what you make it. Dress up, trick-or-treat, enjoy the attractions, and HAVE FUN!! There is still no better place to celebrate Halloween than Walt Disney World. The magic is still there!
