Have you tried Periscope? Apple released it’s best apps of 2015 today and Periscope TV received the top spot as “App of the Year“. This will come as no surprise to those of us that have become obsessed with Periscope. Considering it just released in march of this year, it’s growth has been huge with over 10 million downloads of the app so far. Periscope isn’t the first app to offer live video streams but none of the others have reached this level of popularity. It will be interesting to see if Facebook’s version of live broadcasting, called Facebook Live, will have any impact on the success of Periscope. Time will tell. Personally, I can’t imagine another app having the ease of use that Periscope has. Given what I know of Facebook on the web and mobile, theirs will not be as user-friendly.
If you haven’t tried Periscope yet, what are you waiting for? Download the app and give us a follow! For more info on how to get started read this. Check this one for my top picks of who to follow. If you are watching broadcasts on your computer, I would definitely recommend you use the app. It’s easier to use and allows you to comment and give hearts as well, making you part of the conversation.
I can’t wait to see the creative ways Periscope will be used in the near future as a source for social media, information, and marketing.
You guys know me. I’m not a negative person, or one that wants to stir up debate. Especially when it comes to Disney World, or the Disney brand in general. But there has been a trend developing lately, and I know I’m not the only one who’s noticed. Disney has announced two new “add-on” options…
Some people consider parades and shows to be a waste of valuable park touring time. They’d rather take advantage of shorter lines for popular rides. While I understand the desire to make the best use of time, missing Festival of Fantasy would be missing important parts of the overall Disney experience. If you have seen The…
There are many special events that take place at the Disney World parks. Some are “official” events planned by the Disney company and some are not. This week we had the 45th anniversary of Magic Kingdom which was an official Disney event. We also had the final performance of the Main Street Electrical parade, and…
We had our first look at the opening night party at STK last month. But we were hoping to get to see what the dining experience was like. So last night they generously invited us back for a special complimentary dinner. This wasn’t just a typical dinner. It was a carefully planned out dining experience…
Saturday was my first time attending Disney’s Dapper Day at Walt Disney World. I’ve been seeing pictures of this event for years and was so excited to finally see what it was all about. Dapper Day is one of several unofficial Disney events. Meaning Disney Parks has no involvement in the organizing of it, and…
When you get the Platinum Premium Annual Pass (that is a ridiculous mouthful! Can’t they just call it Gold, Silver, Bronze or something?) it includes your PhotoPass pictures. That means anytime you pose for a PP photographer, they will scan your magic band. You can then view that picture on your “My Disney Experience” app….
