Pandora The World of Avatar Construction Update Photos

Yesterday (4-13-16) I went to Animal Kingdom to check out the progress on Pandora the World of Avatar construction (or Avatarland as originally called).  This new land in Animal Kingdom is expected to open sometime next year. They have made a lot of progress recently! Even if you aren’t a big fan of the movie, the overall theming looks great and certainly fits into Animal Kingdom very well. The mountains are huge and attached above them are the “floating islands”. When you look at the concept art they have up on the construction walls, you can see they look perfect. I also looked at the Rivers of Light progress. As you probably know, the opening originally scheduled for April 22nd has been delayed. They announced that they will let us know something in May. Meanwhile, they’ve taken down the walls and you can now see everything. I love the water inspired color scheme of the flags and banners and the lanterns look beautiful too. No sign of the barges yesterday, but have heard that they are still testing them.

If I see any new updates to Pandora the World of Avatar construction I will keep you guys updated.
